Do you Know how to find the Perfect Apartment?

I haven’t ever given this any thought. Sometimes, but not usually. It’s (kind of) worked out for me. Which of these bonuses would you love to have with your apartment? I make exceptions here and there. Is it ever OK to redefine your wish list? Seeing a place in person is always better. Is online research enough? Never, you must be uncompromising. My place better have all of these! Of course, no place is perfect. Sure, why wouldn’t it be? I don’t generally make a wish list.

When you’re apartment hunting, who do you ask to accompany you? Would you look at an apartment out of your price range? I’d probably just go alone. Maybe, if it’s not too much more. Yes, an easy commute is important to me. Sure, just for fun though. Hey, maybe I can get a loan or something! No, I have a car. No, I’m sticking to my budget. Do you consider the proximity to public transportation when choosing an apartment?

Have you ever made a budget before? Of course, who hasn’t? As many as it takes! Have you ever apartment hunted? Nope, that sounds boring. How many apartments should you see before deciding on “the one”? You can be honest with us. I usually go with the first place. Tbh, I have no idea. Three is good, right? When you find the perfect place, how long should you wait to tell the landlord you want it?

OK, we know you’ve seen “House Hunters” because, let’s be real, who hasn’t? From bougie mansions to adorable bungalows, we’re not-so-secretly obsessed with watching other people find their dream homes. Sorry, but your $13 per month isn’t going to get you the 10-bedroom palace you’ve always dreamed of! And, it can also be fun to hate on people who walk through a house making the most unnecessary comments. Even when we can’t stand the buyers and renters, watching “House Hunters” is so SO less stressful than actually house hunting (or apartment hunting) ourselves. You know what we’re talking about!

Selling PricesWhat percentage of your monthly income should your monthly rent NOT exceed? I didn’t know you could negotiate rent. To be honest, I rarely do it. It’s weird, but I’ll do it if I must. Do you feel comfortable negotiating prices? I’ll do anything to find a place quickly! Rent costs what rent costs! Are you willing to look outside your ideal neighborhood? What’s an “ideal neighborhood”? I could negotiate a hostage situation. Sure, you often get better value for your money.
